The Desert (Karoo) and me

A week ago I decide to go with my mum on a little vacation to her place of birth, Van Wyks Vlei in the Karoo. There was not much to see and nothing nearly grows up to ankle height. But with this much solitude; It helps your eyes to see other things and is also a great remedy for the soul. Besides lots of sleep, I also had the opportunity to walk very far distances and capture life in the desert (Karoo) through my lens

The sun will come out tomorrow

About a week ago I was asked by my previous employer and mentor Danie Nel to help on a shoot in Gugulethu. Danie was there to cover the shoot while I only had to second shoot. It was an international media campaign about the awareness of TB. I had much fun on this shoot and also got to hang with the most awesome, Desmond Tutu. I have put together some photos I took of children in Gugulethu.
